AMOT is the association of tour operators located in Montaione and we could define it as being "indispensable". The Municipality of Montaione has more than 3,000 beds, an important number when compared to the number of inhabitants and tourism is undoubtedly its leading industry. There are more than 110 accommodation establishments in the area. Many of them are located a few hundred metres from each other and all carry out very similar - if not identical - activities and share the same problems.
With every day more demanding challenges being faced by the tourism sector and with a constantly evolving market, it is imperative to "work as a team".
In fact, not even the tourist market escapes the prevailing logic of this historical period: the creation of enormous centres of power. Faced with large airlines, large Tour Operators, large OTAs, big search engines that dominate the Internet, small tour operators risk being crushed by giant market players and are forced to passively accept their policies.
We do not claim to change the rules, but to be TOGETHER.
- it means being able to share experiences, opinions, knowledge and skills;
- it means finding a common way of responding to certain problems;
- it means being the most incisive interlocutors with local administrations,
- as well as opening up to fruitful collaborations with the institutions themselves;
- it means creating purchasing groups and obtaining a reduction in costs,
- it means planning together our participation in international trade fairs and workshops
- it means carrying out training courses that individually would be too expensive to organise
- it means improving and increasing the number of opportunities for exchange
Being TOGETHER means, above all, working actively and enthusiastically on concrete projects for the promotion of our territory, for the clear benefit of all.
From all this, AMOT was born.
Montaione tour operators have similar clientele, similar interests and needs.
